Oral Product Development (OPD) business area
At Oral Product Development (OPD) in Macclesfield, we focus on the design and development of commercial products and processes, contribute to new product introductions and to the continuous improvement of launched products. You will join a vibrant team that is working on the next generation of medicines and play a key role in the development of new medicinal products.
The role
As an Associate Principal Scientist in Process Engineering, you will be a key member of both our process engineering and wider pharmaceutics communities, responsible for delivering the manufacturing process understanding to progress the development of life-changing medicines within a dynamic team environment. We will rely on you to bring a strong understanding of drug product manufacturing processes to our oral solid dosage products, keeping both patients and long term manufacturing performance in mind.

CMAC are excited to announce the new £1.2M award from EPSRC to lead the new international collaboration for Digital Design and Manufacture of Amorphous Pharmaceuticals (DDMAP).
This award brings together three world-leading research groups from the UK (CMAC, University of Strathclyde), Denmark (CPHarma, University of Copenhagen) and Belgium (CESPE, Ghent University) to deliver a step change in fundamental understanding of amorphous materials that will apply to real industrial challenges in medicines manufacturing.
