University of Strathclyde has received honorable mention for its Centre for Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation (CMAC) in Glasgow, Scotland. The collaboration between industry, academia and government represents the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain R&D framework.
CMAC recently attended the launch of the UK Manufacturing Review 2015-2016. The publication by Stirling Media is a 250+page high quality book, a “super-magazine”, written by expert journalists across industry sectors, that summarises the status of the manufacturing, engineering and technology sectors in 2015. CMAC was featured on p220 of the Review as well as being mentioned in the "Road to 2016" infographic on p18 and the section on Pharmaceuticals on p43 of the book. CMAC Annual Review 2014-2015 Online
The REMEDIES (RE-configuring MEDIcines End-to-end Supply) project has accelerated into its next phase following the approval of £11.2m of government funding. The project is further strengthened by an £11m contribution from industry, matching the figure raised through Round 4 of the Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative (AMSCI).

On 3rd July 2015, Her majesty the Queen Opened the TIC Building at University of Strathclyde. During her visit, the Queen visited the CMAC Labs and was introduced to key people and shown key items of equipment byAcademic Director Professor Alastair Florence.

CMAC are excited to announce the new £1.2M award from EPSRC to lead the new international collaboration for Digital Design and Manufacture of Amorphous Pharmaceuticals (DDMAP).
This award brings together three world-leading research groups from the UK (CMAC, University of Strathclyde), Denmark (CPHarma, University of Copenhagen) and Belgium (CESPE, Ghent University) to deliver a step change in fundamental understanding of amorphous materials that will apply to real industrial challenges in medicines manufacturing.
