Infection, Immunity and Microbiology The Infection, Immunity and Microbiology Research Group currently has 21 principal investigators active in a number research themes; Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, Infection and Immunity and Immune Modulation and Regulation. Within these themes expertise exists in eukaryotic, prokaryotic and viral infections, including their molecular biology, biochemistry, pathogenesis and treatment. The Research Group is also highly active in fundamental research pertaining to the immune system and microbial physiology. A vibrant research environment with both external research collaborations and links within SIPBS provides an opportunity for post graduate and post doctoral training.
