Class groups

Class groups are associated with a particular class usually for a single academic session. Class groups can be fixed - members are pre-assigned by the group creator; or can be Join Groups, which allow the students in the class to self join (and leave) groups.

• an individual class group can be accessed directly from a users myGroups page (in the student or staff tools) if you belong to or own a group
• a list of all groups belonging to a class can be seen from the class home page using the view groups link as long as the group's active in session value is the current academic session.

Clicking the link on the class home page will show all the groups that belong to the class. For example, the class below has 3 groups named Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3.

If you belong to a group, signified by a tick next to the group name, you can click on the group name to see the group home page.
