Registration

Finally got round to fixing the staff registration so that it sends the staff status request to the correct admin - it should now go to the departmental admin instead of just being sent to spider-vle@strath.ac.uk (me)

Latest fixes

ePDP tweaks
have updated the ePDP with the assign credits option - this hadnt been finished in time for the new version at the beginning of the session. It now allows admins, counsellors and class co-ordinator (if the PDP is linked to a class) to assign the credits. Whether or not the credit has been granted, and by who, is now also shown to the student who owns the ePDP.

class lists
made a few changes to the data pull from registry - didnt seem to be dumping previous days data correctly, so students were remaining on classes they had dropped. Also realised the delete class list admin tool hadnt been included in v5

57205
completed (ish) first 3 results forms for this class (still on dev system)

Quiz fixes
Changed the quiz tool to allow admins to re-assign a quiz to another user. Can also change the ownership of the questions in the quiz. The results for all quizzes all classes was tweaked to include all students results (it was missing revision attempts)

Registration
For some odd reason, students are registering with the development system. Updated the registration scripts to say in big letters that this is the development server. Didnt stop some people.

RSS
Site news is now available as an RRS news feed so can be accessed with any RSS news reader (theres one in the FireFox browser or you can use something like FeedReader)

Radiation database
Minor bug fixes and tweaks

Rx Tutor
The Pharmacy prescription tutor went live to allow pharmacy students to test and comment on how it works

Do you use Firefox?
My mate swares by it, was gonna try it, but some of the bioinformatics sites don't run with it.

I use both Firefox and IE, mostly firefox as it has useful plugins e.g. web developer plugin by Chris Pederick - that allow quick access to CSS, resizing windows, page source etc. I use IE to check pages look ok, as the majority of users on SPIDER use IE under windows.† You can get another plugin that allows you to right click a link and† open it in IE, so you can view pages that dont work properly in FireFox.† If they dont work, then its because the author of the page hasnt used corrrect/ valid markup (HTML)
